Structure of Nephron
- Each kidney contain many nephron also called structural and functional unit of kidney.
- Each Nephron coined and tubular shaped.
1. Bowman's Capsule
2. P.C.T. (Proximal Convoluted Tubules)
3. Henle's loop
4. D.C.T. (Distal Convoluted Tube)
1. Bowman's Capsule
- It is cup shaped structure.
- The cavity of Bowman's capsule the group of blood capillary present known as glomerulus.
- Glomerulus is an important part of Bowman's Capsule.
2. P.C.T. (Proximal Convoluted Tubules)
- It is tubular and coiled structure and consist of cuboidal cell and help in the re-absorption of useful substance.
3. Henle's loop
- It is U-shaped structure.
- Their are two type of limb present in Henle's loop.
- Ascending limb and Descending limb
4. D.C.T. (Distal Convoluted Tube)
- It is tube like structure.
- It is open into collecting duct.
